Commendable!!!

At this time round the year, students across India look out for the premier coaching institutes for the prep. of papers like CAT, XAT, SNAP and so on and so forth.

The top institutes like TIME, CL, IMS ,PT and the list goes on and on , invests thousands of bucks for their advertisements and to get most of the students(max. market share) into their classes.

Different marketing strategies are applied to attract the attention of all these CAT aspirants. Starting from discounts on referrals to scholarship tests for discounts, from conducting workshops (which are just a piece of s*** for 10-15 mins) to rounds and rounds of SMSs are send to people who visited their site once or registered for that matter.

Without actually understanding the specific needs of each aspirant, they serve similar kinds of PreTalks for everyone and literally push them(mind it!!!) to deposit the money.

If the person uses some of his/her common sense and ask for a free trial Class, they’ll out rightly reject it and instead will pep them for a 5-minute faculty interaction.(God knows the person sitting across the desk is real faculty or a manager of the branch) and he’ll shoot 1 hard-cored Quant question at the already no-clue aspirant. Then a shortcut-method will be shown and in no time the student will deposit a handsome figure of 25-30K in their account.

And this is how, the hard-earned money of most people goes right into flush for nothing or at least not for it’s worth.

Like all these CAT aspirants, I was also looking for a CAT institute where I can find some difference, some over the edge kind of classes.

Internet is filled with material which we can buy online or various sites which are providing readymade schedules on how to study for various topics. So, obviously this is not only what is expected out of a classroom coaching, to provide with assignments and some loathsome shortcut methods and lots and lots of questions to practice on and on and on……………..

This Is Tiresome, Irritating, Frustrating….I can do it on my own. So, why should I pay you for that???Huh

And then in all this chaos, I met some people at an institute , I won’t prefer mentioning (bechare institute waalon ka to dil hi tut jaayega). They told me about BYJU Coaching Classes.

I thought ok , I’ll go for his seminar. For past 3 months, I am looking for an “over the edge” kinds institute and unable to find one.
Let’s give it a shot before settling any of the renowned names(which is not worth but as if I have any other option).I registered myself on their site and waited religiously for their first seminar to happen.

I had already heard/read a lot about BYJU over the net from the time I registered myself over their website and was really curious to know what extra they can provide, the students with.

Specially the line which says:-

WE ARE NOT ASKING ANYONE TO JOIN OUR CLASSES. JUSTATTEND THIS FIRST AND IF YOU STILL FIND BETTER CLASSES,GO AND JOIN.

I was already impressed with such a bold challenge and then these guys are also providing not 1 or 2 but whole 4 sessions (each of 3-4 hrs) before students decide to join them.
What else one can wish for!!!!!!!

On 24th Jan (yesterday), there I was, In front of Kamani Auditorium at Mandi House, sharp at 11, to discover what gems of knowledge are hidden inside those walls of the audi.
Then session got started with usual prep. talk of wht’s IIMs and CAT all about, which lasted for 15-20 mins and then Mr. BYJU Raveendran came to the podium for the very first session on Quant(more like an eye-opener) and there it was BAAM!!!!!!!!!!!!
We all ,me and my friends , were dumbfounded about all those things which we have already studied in our class 10th curriculum but never ever occurred to our traditionally programmed brains in that way.
Specially, geometry, which is one of my strong topics, was dancing in front of my eyes like never before.
Circle was flattened to become a line and triangles getting united to become polygons of various shapes and sizes. Bottom of triangles are stretched to become squares and what not. Number series were converted to right angle/equilateral triangles and AP became the “Man of the Match”.
Even while writing this write-up, I am in awe!!!
BYJU is real master of Math. He plays with it as if it’s a child play and I, finally got what I wanted, a real master in a real class with “over the edge” methods of teaching.
HATS OFF FOR BYJU SIR!!!!

PS:-We are also assured that the sessions will be even better as compared with the first one.

Why to Blog?

While surfing through blogs yesterday, I stumped over a question “why to Blog at all?” Here, I am not only talking about Blogging in particular but to surf the net 24*7, wasting all your precious time on social networking sites and visiting profiles, increasing your friend list or scrap number to boost it in your friend circle.

We are facing a situation where we have to write what we are feeling about something in a blog, instead of sharing it with those who really matters?

We are sticking to social networking sites to make new friends (I don’t think anyone can find real friends over these sites). You’ll say its 21st century , and we have cleared technological barriers for that matter, I’ll say human emotions are still somewhere back in 18th century and no one can trust people over these sites just by having a look at their profiles.

So, my point here is,
Is it right to empty our minds and hearts (all our worries, doubts, anger, frustrations, happiness, feelings) in a blog than expressing them in front of those who have the right to actually know about it??

I am in no ways against Blogging, It provides a very good platform to express views in front of a large number of people and provide everyone with some “Food for Thought” but doesn’t it makes sense that instead of making it a full-time activity , we give some of our time to our loved ones. I call it “Family Time”. You call it whatever you feel like but what’s important is not to take your family or friends for granted and love them and support them all your life!!!

It's Time!!!!

As this is a very first piece of writing which i am posting(or writing for that matter) , I am pretty sure that bloggers world-wide ( my my, as if they have much time to go through a piece of scrap, a simple girl with no extraordinary writing skills have written and posted) would run to kill me as I am going to give a sharp dip to their standards, but nevermind....there's always a first time.

Today, as I am, sitting in my office, sipping on a hot cup of Plain Tea, in front of my PC, i had nothing much to work on(it's true for 90% of people in IT).Please don't take it on heart as this is my perception and i don't intend to hurt anyone's feelings.Anyways.....So, as i am having a cup of tea and reading different blogs related to people's experiences through CAT journey,I felt a surge to write............To write what i feel about things that surrounds us, about people, about system(political, social and so on), about relations, family, friends, world, it's problems and what not.

In short, what we call as LIFE.

Can you believe that , my BOSS just called me to give some work which requires immediate attention.Sometimes,Good things are halted even before they take a headstart......as of now, back to work.

Hey, what were you thinking?I am going to get all sentimental about life and spread some gyaan about it.No ways, Just enjoy your life and thank everyone who makes it beautiful for you!!!

Cya!!!
